“Blood Wedding” is the tale of two families intertwined by a generational cycle of murder and revenge. Celebrated Spanish poet Federico García Lorca’s tumultuous story, inspired by a 1928 newspaper article, is set in a semi-mythical version of the Spanish countryside where an arranged marriage between two wealthy families is about to take place. Caught between impossible desire and unspeakable secrets, the bride runs away with her ex-lover setting in motion a series of tragic events where no one is left unscathed.
